HEARING BENEFIT OVERVIEW:

The PriMed hearing program makes hearing affordable and is provided by one of the largest panel of hearing care professionals in the U.S. Discount digital hearing aids are available. Participating hearing providers are committed to offering the most cost competitive benefits in the hearing care industry. These providers' retail rates, even before the discount, are extremely competitive and affordable. PriMed members can save as much as $100 to $500 on all non-digital/digital hearing aids.

The PriMed hearing plan offers its members and their families the following service and product savings:

• Basic Audio logic Testing for only $49 ($59 in NY and CA). This includes air conduction, bone conduction and word recognition tests. Other tests are available at the provider's usual fees.
• Discount Digital Hearing Aids. Members receive a 10% to 20% discount from the provider's usual fee on hearing aids and hearing aid repairs (except batteries). An additional charge may apply for an ear mold for a behind-the-ear appliance.
• Free consultation about noise exposure in workplace and home.
• Free annual cleaning and check of all discount non-digital/digital hearing aids purchased through the program.
• During the first year from the date of delivery, the provider will replace any hearing aid with the same model of aid if the aid has been repaired three times or more through no fault of the member. Members also receive a free loaner during any repair period.
• PriMed members are entitled to an unconditional 45-day refund policy on hearing aids with the exception of a $35.00 fee the hearing provider is entitled to retain. The hearing provider shall make all repairs to a defective hearing aid through the manufacture's warranty period. If the hearing aid needs to be shipped back to the manufacturer a loaner will be made available at no cost to the member.

Each participating audiologist is required to demonstrate evidence of appropriate licensing and verification of malpractice insurance. The credentialing information is monitored on an ongoing basis. Discount digital hearing aids are available for everyone.
